Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g margarine
  • 500 g flour
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder, Russian (baking soda), mixed with 1 tsp vinegar essence
  • 50 ml water
  • 400 ml milk
  • 300 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • vanilla sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 300 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Dough: Make a dough from all the ingredients. Divide the dough into 13 pieces, wrap in foil, and chill for 30 minutes. Roll out each piece into a circle, cut out using a plate or a baking pan. Bake at 180°C (350°F) until golden brown. Reserve any leftovers for decoration. Cream: Heat the milk. Beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Pour the egg-sugar mixture into the milk and stir. Add the flour and mix well. Stir until thickened. Add the butter and mix until dissolved. Let cool. Spread the cream on the cake layers, stack them on top of each other, and decorate with the chopped leftovers.
