Nectarine compote, grandma's style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g nectarine(s), thinly peeled, pitted, cut into wedges
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 75 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring the water and sugar to a boil, add the nectarines, bring back to a boil, and simmer over low heat until soft. Season with sugar, if desired.
