Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 200 g flour
- 100 g fat (e.g. butter or lard)
- 1 pinch of salt

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and knead with your hands (not too vigorously, but everything should be well blended – the flour should be evenly combined with the fat). Let rest in the refrigerator for about an hour before using. Can be used for sweet or savory toppings. Bake in a preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes. For a moist topping, pre-bake for 10 minutes, covered with parchment paper and dried beans, and then reduce the baking time accordingly.
