Nile perch with cauliflower cap

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 fish fillets (Victoria perch)
  • ½ cauliflower
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese
  • 70 g cheese, grated
  • Grated cheese, for sprinkling
  • butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut the cauliflower into small florets and season with salt and pepper. First, thoroughly mix the cream cheese into the cauliflower, then stir in the grated cheese, onions, and garlic. Wash and dry the fish, and season with salt and pepper. Place a few knobs of butter in a baking dish and place the fish on top. Spread the cauliflower, onion, and cheese mixture over the fish and sprinkle with some grated cheese. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 45 minutes. If desired, set the oven to broil for a few more minutes until the cheese is nicely browned.
