Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250g spaghetti
  • 4 tomatoes, firm, peeled and finely diced
  • 3 bell peppers, green, finely diced
  • 150 g cooked ham, cut into fine strips or cubes
  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 1 tbsp pepper, green from the jar
  • 50 g Parmesan, grated
  • 100 g flour
  • 50 g butter
  • 200 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • some flour, for breading
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • chili powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Pasta with a twist

Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to the instructions, then drain and rinse under cold water. Sauté the diced onion in the butter, add the diced bell pepper, and sauté for a few minutes. Roughly chop the spaghetti, add it along with the diced tomatoes, ham, Parmesan, and green pepper, and heat everything through. Dust with flour and top with cream. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Place on a baking sheet and let cool. Cut the cooled mixture into pieces, coat with flour, egg, and breadcrumbs, and fry in clarified butter until browned. Serve with a peppercorn sauce.
