The perfect néro tea sütemény – our elf patscherl recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the abundance

  • 6 Pc. Free range eggs
  • 37 dag Icing sugar
  • 25 dag Melted butter
  • 1 Pc. Lemon zest
  • Food coloring
  • Jam of your choice

For the coating

  • 200 g Cooking chocolate
  • Decoration

  1. Normally served as tea biscuits, this delicacy is a must for us during Advent and Christmas

Preparing biscuits

  1. Mix the 6 eggs with the icing sugar until frothy.
  2. Gradually stir in the melted butter, lemon zest and flour in a food processor.
  3. Finally, depending on the color you want, knead food coloring into the dough.
  4. Pour the mixture into a piping bag and squirt round to oval biscuits onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 degrees hot air for about 10 minutes. Make sure that the cookies do not turn brown and crispy.

Preparing biscuits

  1. Heat the chocolate in a water bath.
  2. Brush the biscuits with jam (we use apple jam made from sour apples or apricot jam with rum) and place 2 biscuits on top of each other.
  3. Approx. Dip one third into the melted chocolate, sprinkle with decoration and allow to dry.
  4. Put in a cookie jar and let sit for at least 24 hours. The longer the cookies lie in the tin, the softer they become.
