Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 tsp espresso powder
  • 1 pinch(s) nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp clove powder
  • ¼ tsp ginger powder
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • 5 tsp sugar
  • 5 cups water

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 minute; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 6 minutes

also known as Greek, Turkish or Oriental coffee

Briefly boil the coffee with the sugar and spices, let it steep, and then filter through a sieve. This also works without sugar in an Italian espresso pot on the stovetop.
