- ¼ tsp ginger powder
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
- 5 tsp sugar
- 5 cups water

Briefly boil the coffee with the sugar and spices, let it steep, and then filter through a sieve. This also works without sugar in an Italian espresso pot on the stovetop.
