Nuremberg Sausage Plate …
The perfect nuremberg sausage plate … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the sauerkraut:
- 1 packet 3-Minuten-Weinsauerkraut
- 2 tablespoon Oil
- 1 size Onion in strips
- 2 Bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon Caraway seeds
- 7 Juniper berries
Aside from that:
- 8 Nuremberg sausages
- Oil for frying
- Potatoes
- 2 Onions in strips
- Wash the potatoes and cook in lightly salted water for 20 minutes. In addition, fry 2 onions in strips in a small pan while turning them several times until golden brown and then slide onto a plate, pour over pepper, salt and a few “drops” of Maggi seasoning and set aside.
- While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the sauerkraut. To do this, fry the onion strips (from an onion) in the heated oil until translucent, add the bay leaves, caraway and juniper berries and fry briefly, now mix in the slightly torn sauerkraut and gently cook the vegetables covered for about 10 minutes.
- During this time, fry the sausages in a small pan until they are golden brown and when they have got a nice color, heat the onions on the side of the sausages that were set aside again.
- Mix the sauerkraut again before serving, season to taste and remove the bay leaves.
- Arrange the peeled potatoes on plates with the sauerkraut, crown the cabbage with the sausages and arrange the hearty onions over the potatoes. Good Appetite!!
