Quark Strawberry Cake

The perfect quark strawberry cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 30 gr Powdered sugar
  • 60 gr Butter
  • 1 st Egg yolk
  • 90 gr Flour
  • 100 gr Sugar
  • 2 st Eggs
  • 100 gr Flour
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon. Baking powder
  • 350 gr Quark
  • 200 gr Yogurt
  • 2 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 100 gr Sugar
  • 8 sheet Gelatin
  • 500 gr Cream
  • 600 gr Strawberries
  • 1 packet Red cake topping
  • 50 gr Strawberry jelly
  1. Make a shortcrust pastry from 60 grams of butter, 30 grams of powdered sugar, 1 egg yolk and 90 grams of flour. Pour into a 26 cm form and prebake at 180 degrees for 10 minutes. Beat 2 eggs with 100 grams of sugar and 1 vanilla sugar for 8 minutes until frothy, fold in 100 grams of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
  2. Brush the shortcrust pastry base with jelly and place the sponge cake on top. Bake for another 15-20 minutes. Cooling down. Soak and dissolve gelatin. Mix in the quark, sugar and vanilla sugar, stir in gelatin.
  3. Fold in the cream until stiff. Place a cake ring around the base and pour in the cream. Let it set in the refrigerator. Cover with strawberries and top with cake glaze.
