Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 100 g sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 80 g flour
  • 100 g hazelnuts or walnuts, grated
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • some jelly, raspberry, currant
  • some powdered sugar for dusting

Beat the egg whites with the water until stiff. Continue beating, gradually adding the sugar and beating well. Add the egg yolks and mix in. Mix the flour, baking powder, and nuts together, then carefully fold in. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and smooth it out. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10-15 minutes. Then turn the dough out onto a sugar-dusted kitchen towel and peel off the baking paper. Spread evenly with the jelly and roll up tightly. Allow to cool. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
