Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 6 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g nuts, ground
  • Fat
  • possibly sugar for the mold
  • e.g. powdered sugar or icing

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

also suitable for those who have a grain intolerance

Separate the eggs, whisk the egg yolks with the sugar until frothy and thick. Stir in the nuts. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and carefully fold them into the batter. Grease a springform pan and sprinkle lightly with sugar. Pour in the batter and bake in an oven preheated to 175°C for about 1 hour (test with a skewer). Let the finished cake cool and dust with powdered sugar. If you like, you can also cover the cake with a lemon glaze.
