Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 130 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 130 g margarine or butter
  • 3 tbsp apricot jam
  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 400 g hazelnuts or almonds, chopped
  • possibly chocolate

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Make a dough from flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs and margarine or butter. Then roll the dough out on a sufficiently large baking tray and spread with 3-4 tablespoons of apricot jam. For the topping, heat the butter with sugar and vanilla sugar and bring to the boil briefly. Then stir in the 4 tablespoons of water and the hazelnuts or almonds (or 200g almonds and 200g hazelnuts mixed). Spread the cooled mixture on the dough. Preheat the oven. Bake the cake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes and then cut into triangles. If you like, you can dip the corners in chocolate after it has cooled.
