Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 125 g butter
  • 65 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • e.g. apricot jam
  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 150 g ground almonds
  • 150 g almonds, chopped
  • some chocolate coating, whole milk or dark chocolate to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Knead the dough ingredients together and roll out on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Prick the dough with a fork. Spread the apricot jam over the dough. For the topping, melt the butter, add the sugar, and vanilla sugar. Scrape out the vanilla pod and add the seeds. Add the water, as well as the chopped and ground almonds. Knead everything into a smooth dough and spread it on the baking sheet. Now place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) and bake for 20 minutes. Cut into diamond shapes while the cake is still warm and dip the corners in the melted chocolate coating.
