Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Not too sweet! Also for school or office
If you bought whole nuts, chop them up a bit with the banana chips in a food processor. Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy, pour in the honey, and then add the salt and cinnamon. Now slowly add the chopped nuts and bananas, one at a time. Stir in the sunflower seeds, flaxseed, and flakes and mix well. Line a baking tray with baking paper, spread the mixture on it, and smooth it out. I then press it down firmly with a second piece of baking paper to make it nice and dense. Bake the whole thing in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 20 minutes. Remove the still-hot muesli plate from the tray using the paper and cut into pieces while still hot. Now simply let the bars cool and then spread with melted chocolate or decorate them. After cutting, I had 24 bars and calculated the following per piece: approx. 5.4 g protein, approx. 10 g fat, approx. 20.4 g carbohydrates. Tip: The first time I made them, mine were a bit crumbly, so I varied the flavor by adding about 100g of ground nuts or ground oatmeal, but it’s not necessary. During the Christmas season, you can also easily replace some nuts with crushed speculatius biscuits or gingerbread, or refine the bars with a bit of candied orange and lemon peel. Sesame seeds instead of flaxseed also tastes delicious. There are so many variations, but these bars are quick to make, filling, and practical for school or the office.
