Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
made from puff pastry, quick to make
Thaw the puff pastry sheets individually. Then stack the sheets in two equal piles and roll each one out with a rolling pin to form a rectangular sheet (both sheets should be the same size). Mix the remaining ingredients into a paste. Moisten the bottom sheet with water and spread the nut filling on it. Place the second layer of puff pastry on top and cover the whole thing on a board and let it rest in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Then cut the sheet into strips approximately 2 cm wide. Twist each strip individually into a spiral and then shape it into a circle. Place on a baking sheet and place in an oven preheated to 220 degrees Celsius. Bake for between 15 and 25 minutes, depending on the oven, until the nut rings are golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar while still warm.
