Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 rolls of topping dough from the refrigerated section
  • e.g. Nutella
  • 1 egg(s)
  • possibly powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Unroll one roll of puff pastry and spread with Nutella. Place the second sheet on top. Cut approximately 1.5 cm wide strips along the long side. Twist the strips into a rope. Arrange them to form a snail shell. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with egg. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 30 minutes; the pastry should be golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
