Nutritionist Tells How to Improve Health with Turmeric

According to Dr. Josh Axe, turmeric is equally beneficial for the body in different forms – in powder, extract, and tablet form. There are some relatively simple ways to improve your health with turmeric.

Turmeric owes much of its health benefits to curcumin, the main active ingredient in the root. According to the doctor, spice is equally useful in powder, extract, or tablet form. Its therapeutic effect extends to blood vessels, skin, psyche, and appearance.

The first area of health improvement Aks called the prevention of thrombosis. Regular consumption of turmeric helps protect the body from blood clots. Laboratory studies and animal observations have shown that turmeric reduces the risk of platelet aggregation – the way platelets stick together.

In diabetes, the spice in the diet will help protect against blood sugar spikes. As a natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agent, turmeric helps with some skin diseases, and can give healthy skin a “glow and shine”. To do this, you can use a turmeric-based face mask.
