Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 120 g sugar
  • 120 g oat flakes
  • 70 g flour
  • 40 g butter
  • 20 g coconut oil
  • 1 egg(s)
  • ½ tsp baking powder (cream of tartar)
  • 1 pinch of ammonium bicarbonate
  • 1 pinch of citric acid
  • some flavoring (vanilla and bitter almond)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Swedish Havreflarn, yields about 70 oat thalers

Melt the butter and coconut oil and let cool slightly. Coarsely grind the oats and place them in a bowl with the sugar. Pour in the cooled butter and stir in. Then stir in the egg. Sift the flour, baking powder, and citric acid into the mixture. Add the flavoring and stir in. Line baking sheets with baking paper and place small portions of dough on them, spreading them out into thin circles. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the oat flan at 200°C for about 5-6 minutes, until the edges are lightly browned and the flan is slightly firm. Let cool on a rack.
