Oatmeal with almonds

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 60 g oat flakes
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 50 g almonds, chopped or sliced
  • n. B. Fruit, low in acid, e.g. apple or banana, to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

for stomach problems or heartburn

In a saucepan, stir the oats into the milk and bring to a boil. Cook for two minutes, stirring constantly, then add the almonds. Bring back to a boil briefly and then remove the pan from the heat. Let the porridge sit for about 10 minutes. Chop half a banana and/or half an apple, if you like, and add it to the still-hot porridge. Transfer to a bowl and enjoy. It tastes even better with a bit of cinnamon and sugar, but it’s supposed to be a variation for people with sensitive stomachs or heartburn. This recipe works well for me. I like to eat it hot, but I can usually only manage half and then eat the rest well chilled from the fridge.
