Obatzter or Made Up

The perfect obatzter or made up recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 piece Camembert double cream setting
  • 1 packet Cream cheese
  • 1 piece Fresh onion
  • Sweet paprika
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Press Cambert to a pulp with a fork or in the machine. Must be really creamy.
  1. Mix in the cream cheese. Season with plenty of paprika.
  1. Chop the onion and mix in. Salts, peppers ready.
  1. You can also mix it with butter, but that’s too fat for us. This is usually accompanied by pretzels. We had homemade bread (see my KB):
  1. And radishes. A Bavarian snack.
