Olive and walnut salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 jar olives, green or black of your choice
  • 1 bag of walnuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 10 minutes

Antipasti

Empty the olives, including all the liquid (green, black, or mixed—it’s purely a matter of taste), from the jar into a bowl (the amount can be adjusted for the number of people). Add the walnuts—either pre-cracked from a bag or freshly cracked. The ratio should look right, but you can adjust it to your liking. Let the whole thing sit for at least one night. The liquid from the olives draws out a certain substance from the walnuts overnight—which creates an incredibly delicious nutty flavor.
