Olivia's favorite porridge – carrot porridge

Spread the love

Ingredients for 7 servings:

  • 1,500 g carrot(s) (organic carrots)
  • 250 ml water
  • 5 tbsp oil (rapeseed oil or olive oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

after the 5th month

Peel the carrots, slice them, and cover and bring to a boil in 250 ml of water. Then simmer on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes. Remove the carrots from the heat, let them cool slightly, and then add the 5 tablespoons of rapeseed oil (or olive oil or something similar – just make sure the oil is gently cold-pressed). Use a hand blender and puree everything until you get a nice puree. The puree doesn’t need anything else – no sugar, no salt!! Try it for yourself, it tastes really good. When I cook it, I reserve a portion for my daughter on the day I cook it, to eat on the same day. I put one portion (in a familiar plastic container) in the fridge for the next day. I put the remaining 5 portions in the freezer.
