Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 6 slice(s) bread(s), rustic
- 2 stalk(s) leeks
- 3 onions
- 250 g bacon
- 150 g cheese of your choice
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 3 eggs
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 1 handful of chives

Clean the onions and leeks and slice into rings. Grate the cheese. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Wash, dry, and slice the chives. Finely dice the bacon and fry. Add the onions and leeks and sauté until soft. Add the garlic and chives and sauté briefly. Mix 150g of grated cheese with three eggs and season with 1 teaspoon of caraway seeds, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Fold the leek, onion, and bacon mixture into the egg mixture and spread on the bread slices. Place on a prepared baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat (180°C fan-assisted oven) for about 10 minutes. The time varies depending on the oven; shorten or lengthen it to achieve the desired degree of browning.
