Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g fat, butter, margarine or similar
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g fried onions
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Whisk the eggs with the fat. Add the salt. Stir in the flour and knead with your hands if necessary. Finally, knead in the onions. Form the mixture into small balls, flatten slightly, and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake the balls on the middle rack for about 20 minutes. If the onions aren’t salty enough for you, you can sprinkle them with salt before or after baking. Fat will render; the braver may want to try reducing the fat.
