Onion salad with pineapple

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 bunch spring onions
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 1 onion(s), white
  • 1 small can of pineapple, in pieces
  • 5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp curry
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • Tabasco
  • cress

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the onions (all 3 varieties) and slice into rings. Then, place the onions in a bowl and pour 1/2 liter of boiling water over them (this makes the onions less spicy and easier to digest), let stand for 2-3 minutes, and drain. Combine the ingredients for the sauce and pour over the salad, then add the pineapple. Stir everything together and sprinkle with cress. Serve with fresh bread.
