Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g onion(s)
  • 20 g butter
  • 100 ml white wine
  • ¾ liter vegetable broth, instant
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of mountain cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Heat the butter in a saucepan and sauté the onions, then deglaze with the wine and broth. Add the caraway seeds and simmer for about 15 minutes. Season the soup with salt and pepper. Top each piece of bread with a slice of cheese and grill until golden brown. Wash and finely chop the parsley. Ladle the onion soup into soup bowls, place the bread on top, sprinkle with parsley, and serve immediately.
