  • 2 tbsp chives, in rolls

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Place the puff pastry into a tart tin with a diameter of approximately 28-30 cm (including the baking paper in which the puff pastry was wrapped). Preheat the oven to approximately 220 degrees. Peel the onions, halve them, and cut them into strips. Then sauté them in a pan with a little sunflower oil until they are translucent. Prick the puff pastry base with a fork and sprinkle a little Gruyère cheese over them. Prepare the topping (mix all the ingredients for the topping with a whisk or hand mixer). Place the sautéed onions on the puff pastry and cover with the topping. Sprinkle the remaining Gruyère cheese over the top, season with pepper if desired, and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes.
