Onion vegetables with balsamic vinegar and honey

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g onion(s), red
  • 5 cloves
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp, heaped peppercorns
  • Salt
  • Sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 shots of balsamic vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Slice the onions into rings and season with cinnamon, cloves, peppercorns, and salt. Fry in sunflower oil for 10 minutes. Deglaze with balsamic vinegar, add the honey, and glaze the onions for 4-6 minutes. This onion dish goes well with grilled and hearty roasts.
