Orange cheese toast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of toast
  • 4 tsp butter
  • 4 tsp jam (orange or apricot)
  • 2 small oranges, approx. 250 g
  • 100 g chicken or turkey, cooked
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 100 g cheese, coarsely grated, e.g. Emmental or Gouda
  • 1 tbsp pepper, green, pickled, coarsely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Lightly toast the slices of toast, spread with butter and jam. Peel and fillet the oranges. Arrange the orange segments and the skinless chicken on the toast. Grind the pepper over the slices and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 250°C or under the grill. Sprinkle with chopped green pepper before serving. This amount serves 4 people as a starter; double the amount for a main course.
