Orange chocolate cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 orange(s), untreated, grated peel
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 125 g butter
  • 100 g chocolate (dark chocolate)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Mix the flour, cornstarch and baking powder together and sift it onto the work surface. Make a well in the center, add the sugar, vanilla sugar, orange zest and egg and mix with some of the flour until you have a thick paste. Add the cold butter, cut into pieces, and the chocolate, chopped into small pieces. Cover with flour and, starting from the center, mix all the ingredients into a smooth dough. Form this into three rolls, each about 3 cm thick, and chill these until the dough has set. Then, using a sharp knife, cut out slices about 0.5 cm thick and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake the cookies at 180°C for about 10 minutes. Since the dough is easy to work with, you can also roll it out and cut out shapes such as stars or hearts.
