Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 115 g butter, room temperature
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 5 drops flavoring (orange flavor)
  • 1 ½ orange(s), zest
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 155 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 80 g chocolate, milk or dark

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Recipe from the USA, for about 25 cookies

Beat butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until creamy. Add orange flavoring, orange zest, and egg and mix well. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt and gradually stir into the wet ingredients. With floured hands, form small balls (approx. 2.5-3 cm in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, leaving some space between them. Bake at 210°C for approximately 12-15 minutes. The baking time may vary slightly depending on the oven and the size of the balls. Melt the chocolate and sprinkle it over the cooled cookies. I like to use 49% chocolate, but that’s a matter of taste. The sweeter you like it, the lighter the chocolate can be. If you don’t like it so sweet, use dark chocolate for the glaze.
