Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter (soft)
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp orange peel (the zest)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • 400 g flour
  • Cake icing (dark chocolate icing)

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Cream the softened butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Add the eggs, ginger powder, and orange zest and mix, then fold in the flour a spoonful at a time. Fill the batter into a piping bag and pipe shells onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. These should be approximately 6 cm long, tapered at one end. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown, then cool on a wire rack. Melt the chocolate glaze in a double boiler, dip the cookies halfway into the mixture, and let them dry.
