Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 125 g sugar
  • 2 orange(s), grated peel
  • ½ bottle of orange flavor
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 200 g dark chocolate coating for dipping

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 12 minutes

Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, then gradually stir in the orange zest, orange flavoring, and eggs. Sift in the cornstarch and flour and mix well. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a perforated nozzle and pipe sponge finger strips (about 4 cm long) onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 190°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10-12 minutes until light golden. Remove from the baking sheet with a wide knife. Melt the chocolate coating in a bain-marie and dip each orange slice halfway into the mixture, scraping off some of the underside and allowing to set. Makes about 50 cookies.
