Spelt and carrot rolls

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cube of fresh yeast
  • 350 ml water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 600 g spelt flour
  • 200 g carrot(s), grated
  • 50 g walnuts, roughly chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Dissolve the yeast in water, add salt and flour, and knead thoroughly. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Knead in the carrots and walnuts. Form 20 rolls and let rise once more. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (top/bottom heat) for about 15-20 minutes.
