Ostrich beef skewers

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 150 g minced ostrich meat
  • 200 g minced beef
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 5 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp pepper, mixed
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 20 small wooden skewers

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Small, delicious skewers that are great for grilling

The recipe is really very simple. Bring the grill up to temperature. Mix the ground meat with all the other ingredients and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Shape the ground meat into small sausages so they’re easy to thread onto the skewers. If you like, you can soak the wooden skewers in water before use. Tip: With wet hands, you can easily shape the ground meat without any of it sticking to your hands. Place all the small skewers on the grill and turn them occasionally until they’re nicely browned on all sides.
