Oven-baked fried onions

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g onion(s)
  • 4 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp oil, heat-resistant
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

for 1 tray

Peel and finely slice the onions (e.g., into rings). Heat the oil and sauté the onions for 10 minutes; they can be lightly browned. Dust with flour. Spread on a baking sheet. Roast in the oven at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes, then turn off the oven and let them dry. Check frequently to make sure they don’t burn.
