Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 large mushrooms
- 200 g cream cheese, grainy
- 60 g feta cheese
- some paprika powder
- some chives
- some olive oil
- salt and pepper
- possibly grated cheese
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Wash the mushrooms and pat them dry. After twisting out the stems, the insides are removed with a small spoon. This can be used later for the filling, depending on your taste. For the filling, cut the feta into very small cubes or crumble it and carefully mix it with the cream cheese. Add paprika and chives for color. Season with salt and pepper, keeping in mind that the feta already has a very spicy/salty taste. Fill the mushrooms with the cheese mixture and brush with a little olive oil. Place them in a baking dish, covered, and bake in the oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat). Remove the cover for another 5-10 minutes. If you haven’t had enough cheese yet, top the mushrooms with some grated cheese. Serve with a fresh mixed salad. The mushrooms also make a great side dish for grilled dishes.
