Paccheri skewers with bratwurst

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g pasta (paccheri)
  • 4 thin sausages
  • 2 heads of romaine lettuce
  • Mustard
  • 24 small tomatoes
  • Fried onions, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

short tube noodles as finger food

Cook the paccheri according to the package instructions, drain, rinse, and let cool. The pasta should not be too al dente or too soft so that it doesn’t break or fall apart during further processing. Meanwhile, fry the sausages in a pan and then cut into pieces roughly the same length as the pasta tubes. Trim the lettuce leaves and cut them into strips the same width as the pasta tubes. Brush the sausage pieces with a little mustard, wrap them in the lettuce strips, and place them into the pasta tubes. Cut the filled pasta tubes and tomatoes in half. Assemble the skewers: tomato half, filled paccheri half, tomato half. Sprinkle with fried onions to serve, if desired. If the skewers are to be served upright, it is recommended that the tomatoes be cut into unequal pieces. The part with the stem should be the thicker and should be skewered at the bottom, as this provides better stability.
