Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pieces of cheese, farmer’s hand cheese
  • ½ liter of wine, dry Riesling
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, squeezed

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 3 days; Total time approx. 3 days 20 minutes

Place the cheese in a lidded stoneware pot. Add enough wine to cover the cheese (approx. 0.5 liters). Add the onions, caraway seeds, paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic. Cover. Let the mixture steep for 2-3 days. Then serve with farmhouse bread, butter, caraway seeds, and finely chopped onions (music). Serve with a glass of dry Riesling.
