Pancakes with baked beans and cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 ml milk
  • 300 ml carbonated mineral water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 can of baked beans
  • 1 bag of cheese, grated, e.g. Emmental or Gouda
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Combine flour, eggs, water, milk, and a pinch of salt in a bowl and let stand for 20 minutes. (You can add a pinch of baking powder, if desired.) Heat oil in a pan and ladle the batter into the pan. Fry on both sides until cooked through. Heat the beans in a pan. Place the finished pancakes on a plate, top with some of the beans, and then sprinkle with grated cheese and let it melt slightly.
