Pancakes with kohlrabi sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Oil, for frying
  • 1 kohlrabi
  • 250 ml cream
  • 20 g butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • some lemon pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Whisk the milk, sifted flour, and egg into a lump-free batter. Cover and let rest for about 30 minutes. Peel the kohlrabi and cut into sticks, like French fries. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add 3 tablespoons of flour, stir, and sauté. Stir in the cream. Add the kohlrabi and cook for about 10 minutes. Season with lemon pepper and salt. Fry the batter in a pan with a little oil to make pancakes. Cover and keep the cooked pancakes warm in the oven. Serve the pancakes with the kohlrabi sauce.
