Paprika strips with turkey

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g turkey meat
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 small garlic clove(s)
  • 1 chili pepper(s), optional
  • 3 tbsp, heaped paprika powder, sweet
  • 300 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 ml cream
  • some white wine
  • 2 sprigs of thyme
  • some salt and pepper
  • some olive oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the meat into strips or chunks. Mix the minced meat in a bowl with a little salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of paprika. Finely dice the onion, garlic, and chili pepper (if using). Slice the cleaned and deseeded peppers. Heat a little olive oil in a pan and fry the onion, garlic, and chili until translucent. Add the meat and sear until crisp. Add the peppers and deglaze with a generous splash of white wine, then add the vegetable stock. Add the remaining paprika and thyme. Finally, add the cream and season again with salt and pepper. I prefer rice as a side dish.
