Parsnip chips

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 60 g parsnip(s), net
  • Salt and other spices as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Organic snacks

Line a baking tray with baking paper, preheat oven to 100 degrees fan-assisted oven. Grate the parsnips and place them side by side on the baking paper; this makes 1 tray. If you want the chips a little thicker, cut thin slices by hand from the amount specified above. Place the baking tray on the middle rack of the oven and wedge a wooden spoon in the door. After 30 minutes, carefully remove the chips from the baking paper so they don’t stick, and then continue drying at 50 degrees for 45-50 minutes. After this time, the chips will be dry; hand-cut chips will naturally take a little longer. The drying time can vary depending on the oven. Remove the tray from the oven, transfer the chips to a bowl, sprinkle with salt and spices of your choice, and enjoy. I only used a small amount as a test, but the result was very satisfactory.
