Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 box of white bread(s), approx. 750 g
  • 300 g bacon (bacon strips)
  • 6 eggs
  • 300 g Cheddar cheese
  • 250 g minced meat
  • salt and pepper
  • Herbs of Provence
  • garlic powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Cut a large hole in the top of the bread for the filling. Remove the top crust and its contents. Cover the bottom of the bread and the inside edges completely with bacon. Spread the minced meat evenly on top. Whisk the six eggs in a bowl and season with salt, pepper, Provençal herbs, and garlic powder. Crack the egg into the bread and bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 40 minutes, until the egg is cooked to your desired doneness. Sprinkle cheese over the egg and fill the hole in the bread with it. Put the bread lid on. Sprinkle bacon and cheese on top and return the bread to the oven. Bake for another 5-10 minutes. Your delicious party bread is ready.
