Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 roll(s) pizza dough, XXL, approx. 550 g
- 100 g Mettwurst (onion Mettwurst with peppers)
- 200 g sliced cheese (cold cuts), spicy
- 1 egg(s), size M
- e.g. sesame
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Cut the pizza dough lengthwise into 3 equal strips. Cut the cheese into strips and spread them on 2 of the strips. Spread the sausage on the third strip. Fold each strip closed and press the ends firmly together. Place the dough rolls seam-down and braid them. Place the braid on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Beat the egg and brush it over the braid. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on the braid. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 25 minutes. Tip: Tastes best lukewarm.
