Party Meatballs Vegan
The perfect party meatballs vegan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Lenses
- 200 g Rice
- 2 teaspoon Vegan vegetable broth
- 100 g Tender oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon Ground cumin, coriander and fenugreek seeds
- 1 teaspoon Chilli flakes
- 2 teaspoon Paprika powder
- 3 teaspoon Salt
- 3 Toes Pressed garlic
- 2 size Finely chopped onions
- 100 g Chickpea flour
- Cook the lentils in 3-5 liters of water. Cook rice with vegetable stock in 500ml water. Let both cool down.
- Puree the lentils. That doesn’t have to be very nice. Knead all ingredients except for the chickpea flour and season well.
- When you are satisfied with the taste, knead in the chickpea flour well. Do not try the dough anymore, as chickpeas are not tolerable raw. (Wikipedia: Raw “chickpeas” – correct would be “chickpea seeds” – contain the indigestible toxin phasin, which is decomposed by the action of heat. Cherry peas should therefore only be eaten well cooked.) Let the dough stand for about 20-30 minutes.
- Using an ice scoop scoop (approx. 5 cm diameter), divide portions and form small meatballs with damp hands. Heat the oil in a pan and fry 1-2 sample meatballs. If the dough falls apart or parts come loose, add a little more chickpea flour. Bake the meatballs in portions on medium heat, cook well through. Drain on kitchen paper.
- For the low-fat version, brush a baking sheet / baking mat with oil and spread the meatballs on it, brush with oil and bake at 160 ° for about 20 minutes. Turn carefully after 10 minutes. You can vary the basic mass with different ingredients. E.g. diced paprika .. peas and diced carrots .. herbs of your choice .. try what you like best. At first, the meatballs are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but when they are cold they are firm to the bite. There are about 45-50 meatballs, so for about 20 people. Good Appetite! 🙂
