Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wheat flour, type 550
  • 300 ml milk
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • n. B. seeds, for sprinkling, e.g. sesame, poppy seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Melt the butter and warm the milk. Combine the flour and salt in a bowl. Crumble the yeast over the dough, sprinkle with sugar, and pour in the lukewarm milk and butter, without mixing. Let stand for 10-15 minutes, until bubbles appear. Combine all ingredients and knead vigorously. Cover the dough and let rise for 15 minutes. Divide the dough into eight equal portions and form rolls. Place one roll in the center of a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, and space the others slightly apart. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size. Brush the party wreath with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with garnish as desired. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
