Pasta in ham, cheese and cream sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g tagliatelle pasta
  • salt water
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 200 g cooked ham, diced
  • 1 shot of white wine
  • 200 g herb cream cheese
  • 250 ml cream
  • 50 g Parmesan, grated
  • some butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

deliciously creamy

Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the diced onion briefly. Add the ham, stir it into the onions, and deglaze with a splash of white wine. Reduce the heat slightly and stir in the cream and cream cheese. Press in the garlic and add the Parmesan and a knob of butter. Let it simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Finally, season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. Serve the sauce with the pasta and top with some freshly grated Parmesan, if desired. Depending on the season, I use plain cream cheese without herbs and add fresh herbs instead, such as oregano, basil, lemon thyme, and/or chives from the garden.
