Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of pasta of your choice
  • salt water
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche (crème légère)
  • 2 tbsp Maggi Seasoning Mix No. 4 (for salads and fish dishes)
  • ½ bell pepper(s), red, finely diced
  • ½ bell pepper(s), yellow, finely diced
  • 1 small onion(s), finely diced
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp pepper, at least
  • 1 jar baby corn
  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 1 pack of tomatoes (cherry or date tomatoes)
  • 1 pack of cooked ham, diced

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

simple pasta salad

First, boil the salted water for the pasta, then comes the chopping: Dice the bell peppers. Thinly slice the baby corn. Slice the tomatoes into not-so-thin slices. Grate the cucumber. Dice the ham slices and the onion. Combine everything in a large bowl. The pasta should already be in the water by now. Cook according to the instructions. Now for the dressing: Pour the cup of crème légère into a smaller bowl. Using a small whisk, stir in the lemon juice, then the pepper, and finally the spice mix. Caution: Even if the dressing tastes a bit “pale” at first, it will intensify later! Don’t add too much pepper or lemon juice, or it will become too spicy later! Drain the pasta and toss with the chopped vegetables and ham. Add the dressing, mix well again, and you’re done. Perfect as a side dish to grilled food (but without the ham) or as a main course. The ham can also be replaced with turkey or chicken.
