Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 piece(s) celery
  • 500 g minced meat (preferably beef)
  • 100g salami
  • 100 g tomato paste
  • 250 ml water (or broth)
  • 250 ml red wine
  • basil
  • olive oil
  • oregano
  • Thyme
  • rosemary
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Brown the meat in hot olive oil until crumbly. Dice the garlic and onions and brown them. Also dice the carrots, celery and salami and brown them briefly. Add the tomato paste and simmer briefly. Pour in the water (or stock) and red wine. Season to taste. Cover and simmer gently for about 30 minutes. The liquid should have reduced by about half at the end of the cooking time. After the cooking time is over, add a little more red wine and season to taste. Thicken with a sauce thickener, if desired. Pour the sauce over the pasta (preferably spaghetti) arranged in a bowl. Serve with Parmesan or other grated cheese.
